Chelmsford City Ladies maintained their 100%
record with a 3-1 win at Woodbridge Town. After their opening day win at
Kettering Town, City were without a game last Sunday as the heavy overnight
rain caused their match to be postponed but this extra weeks rest obviously
saw City net two late goals to seal an important win.
Laura Brown was City's Player of the Match.
Chelmsford City v Haringey Borough
This game was
cancelled due to a water logged pitch. This Sunday (7th
Sep) at home to Haringey Borough in the Premier Division at Marconi Leisure,
West Hanningfield Road kick off 2pm. Admission free.

Chelmsford City v Braintree Town 1 - 1
Wednesday evening (20th Aug), City continue their
pre-season with a couple of tough matches. City entertain Braintree Town
Ladies at their Marconi Leisure ground in West Hanningfield Road kick off 7pm
and then on Sunday (24th) have a re-run of last seasons County Cup
Final when hosting National League side Colchester United Ladies at Marconi
Leisure kick off 2pm.
Chelmsford Sponsor Walk 17th August the City girls
walked 15 miles from Heybridge back to Chelmsford to Chelmer Village in 5
hours. They set off after the Brentwood tournament at 7:15 and arrived
back in Chelmsford just after 12. Well done girls!
Chelmsford City Ladies sign Three at the Back!
As
Chelmsford City Ladies embark on their first season in the Eastern Region’s
Premier Division their defence has been heavily strengthened with three new
summer signings.
Ex City
Captain Jemma Bell returns to the team after a three seasons playing for
Eastern Region outfit Braintree Town Ladies. Centre Back Georgia Wheate is
venturing into women’s football for the very first time after graduating from
Ipswich Town’s Centre of Excellence programme whilst Left Back Jade Nelson
boasts a colourful playing career which has seen her playing Premier League
football with Charlton Athletic as well as a spell at Southern Premier League
side West Ham.

Straight after the Brentwood Tournament the first team will be completing a 15
mile walk from Heybridge Basin to Chelmer Village. Each player has been
collecting individual sponsorship for the team. So we can buy new much needed
equipment and kit for the team.
